I think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. wed go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.

Throughout my years of being a student, I’ve had many teachers. none of them are the same, but the one that i’ll never forget and will always miss is my chinese bilingual teacher in the middle school i attended in seattle, ms. ho. she was a skinny, but stylish lady in her 50s. she was different from all the other teachers because she gave me something unforgettable.
Ms. ho and i became friends right in the first semester i was in that middle school. at the same time, i was having a really hard time with my subjects. since i had just transferred from a bilingual school, where i had stayed for two months after arriving in the us, my english was horrible; my average grade was below c. i almost thought it impossible to learn english. then, one day she told me she strongly believed that i was capable of controlling my life, and i would be just fine. she said that she found we were much alike: both were stubborn, kind-hearted and a little bit si-mp-le-minded. she believed that i had the quality of becoming wise. she even said that she didn’t have any worries about me, about my not learning english. with her encouragement, i found the strength within myself and began to desire to work even harder. as a result, i soon proved her right, and at the end of the semester,() i got a 3.8 average grade.
Today, I still keep in touch with her, and she still tells me how she believes in me. sometimes, i’d think back, and wonder how I could handle all those things if it wasn’t for her encouragement and trust. could i be the person i am today? then, it struck me: what we need has always been trust and love of others; because these things inspire us to do our best, and to live our life to its fullest.

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Time went by…The little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and looked sad. “Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy.
“I am no longer a kid, I don’t play around trees anymore.” The boy replied, “I want toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I don’t have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He picked all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy didn’t come back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

“I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my trunk to build the boat. You can sail and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and did not show up for a long time.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News， I visited Dr. James Gilman， the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture， this is James， and this is me and we are looking at a dragons tooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago， James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there， which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s， when the Japanese occupied Qingdao， his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao， he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragons mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years， but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience， and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx， he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao， I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct ones error.
Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends： Lets be honest people of good moral character.

My name is Tiffany, a Year 2 student from the University of Macau. I am currently an active member of the university Public Speaking Team, president of the Honours College Student Association, and also the vice president of the event department in Marketing Society. I am very active and outgoing. I enjoy being with people, engaged in conversations with them so that I can understand them more. Imagine a car without a steering wheel. Tough to imagine, right? Well, actually that’s the image you see if a person has no faith. Faith helps to guide us in our lives, encourage us to persist, and give directions when we are lost.
In this peaceful era, our life paths seem to be already well-planned and determined. What we have to do is to follow. Yes, we may face different sorts of challenges, but at least they are less harsh when compared to those in the past. We do not need to worry about starving to death, or how to earn enough money to buy food for our siblings and sustain our lives.
It is like driving from a muddy road into a highway. In the muddy road, path, you would say, as it is formed only by crossing on it many times, flattening the ground to form a smoother area so we can pass. The road is so bumpy and rough, with holes here and there and rocks lying all over. When we drive along this road, we have to be very careful, having a firm grip on the steering wheel, ready for a sudden turn or a large boulder that may appear any second. However, when we drive on a highway, everything becomes different. The road is smooth, straight, and visible. Since there is no unseen obstacle, we may lower our guard, relax a bit, and loosen our grip on the steering wheel. One may even think, if we only have to drive on a smooth straight road like this highway, why would we need a steering wheel?
Faith is unique, just as happiness is. We feel happy for different reasons, we believe for different things. How can we know what we believe in? Recall the last time you are discouraged, and you felt you had lost all hopes in your life. What pulled you back into the world? What pushed you to stand up and continue to strive again? That is your faith, your belief. Faith is what makes you feel you can when others say you can’t.
!Faith is important…, faith is vital…, faith is necessary for us to live our lives. If we do not have faith, we are like a car without a steeling wheel. We can only afford to move along a straight and smooth path, and cannot meet any challenge in our lives. One must understand that no matter how smooth the road is, it is impossible for a car to go without a steering wheel. The importance of time Good morning,dear teacher and my friends! My name is .I’m a student of Great 7 from middle school. I ’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech today. My topic is “the importance of time”.
Someone says: “Time is money!” But I think time is even more important than money. Why? Because when money is spent, we can get it back. However, When time is gone,It will never return no matter how rich you are.
But it is a pity that there are a lot of people who do not know the importance of time . They spend all day on smorking, drinking and do not know that wasting time means wasting life. As to us, a middle schoole student, School time is a very important period for our growing up. We should make full use of it to do something usefull, just like learning different kinds of knowledge，taking exercise for a good health and so on.
In a word，we should save is limited and so，very precious. It will not return any more when it is gone.

I found that the earth environment is becoming worse. I want to invent a kind of electronic bird. It will suck erosion of heaven in the sky fly dust，make the sky more blue. When birds hopping on the ground，it will suck the ground of garbage，let the air becomes more pure and fresh，as you all know，birds cant swim，but electronic birds can swim，it can put the polluted river has become clean and clear.
I also found that the present shortage of resources. I invented a kind of fast forward. It put the resources of rolled to hundreds of years，several thousand years，tens of thousands of years，hundreds of millions of years. But in this period of time，man is not old，resources can be increased.
If the invention is not the good earth，I will invent a kind of speed of the spacecraft，the spacecraft is fully automatic. It can automatically search for habitable planets in space and take the human to the planet. The speed of the spacecraft surface is very small. There is only one double bed so big，but can take ten thousand people at a time. Because of the speed of light，the spacecraft compact so it wont hit the rocks. Planet. And it is very fast，as long as 0.0003 seconds per km back and forth. If really can not find a suitable planet. Stepping into the new century environment pollution has become more serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as water pollution air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet.
Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something. The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted.
And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.
