抵达北京后，我们先进行抽签，我抽到了小低组8号，一个感觉不错的号码。第二天，穿上皮鞋，换好西装，我充满自信地登上了舞台。前面两个环节感觉发挥得很好，但是在后面的“诗情画意”环节，还是失了手。评委的这个问题应该非常好回答，是让我说出关于动物的古诗句，并且用英语介绍它。我一下子就想到了骆宾王的《咏鹅》，但是我昏头了，把“goose”说成了“duck”，主持人最后还调侃地用英语问我：“你认为鸭是不是鹅的'一个种类啊？”我竟然回答：“是的”。虽然有些尴尬，但最后我还是获得了二等奖，得到了奖状和一本厚厚的大辞典。我已经非常满意了。
