If we want to live a happy and healthy life,we need to keep a healthy t of all,we need enough sleep y day we should sleep for at least eight p very late is bad for health,so we had better go to bed before ten o 'clock at night .

People always say to students that their main duty is to study and they should not spend time on other things except for study. However, most boys are born to love exercise, especially ball exercises. Thus, they are always blamed to spend time on playing balls, instead of spending all time on study. In my opinion, the idea is wrong. Proper exercise is good for study. Exercise can help students relax their mind and body. After a long time study, they need it very much. After relaxing, they can have a good state to study, which will improve their study efficiency. Besides, students always can sleep better after exercise. If they sleep well, they can have more energy on study. It promotes study. But spending too much time on exercise may have bad influence on study.

Our English Corner

Ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to our English Corner. This corner was set up a year ago. Every Sunday morning, students from different middle schools gather around here. Thousands of students have been here since it appeared. Many college students and foreign friends often join us, too.

In this corner we practise English with each other. We talk in English about everything we＇re interested in. Also, we learn English songs, play all kinds of English games and so on. We have a good time here.

We feel that we have learned a lot that can＇t be done in English classes. So our English Corner has become necessary and more and more welcomed by middle school students and their parents and teachers.

One evening, when my mother was cooking in the kitchen, someone else called up. My mother hurried to the living room to answer the phone. She thought she would be back in a minute. Bu it was an important phone. They talked and talked and my mother completely forgot the cooking. When my mother returned to the kitchen, what did she see? The food in the pan as burning! What could she do? She took a cover of the pan and covered the pan immediately. In a second, the fire was put out, but she food was burnt. What a pity!

Very glad to hear from you. As for the campaign call Clearing Your Plate, itadvocates that people should eat up all the food in their dishes when having meals,aimed at building an environmentally-friendly society.

The campaign is launched for several reasons. Firstly, while eating out in restaurants, we tend to order more food than they actually need, which leads to much waste and has aroused much concern. Secondly, with the saved food, we can helpthose starving people who live in poor areas. Besides, saving food is a traditional Chinese virtue we should never forget.

In our city, people come to realize the importance of saving food. In restaurants, people order the food based on their needs and take away the leftovers. In the school canteens, less food is thrown away in the food waste collector. Local government officials stop having meals in expensive restaurants for no good reason.

Personally, I’m strongly in favor of the campaign. We should save not only food but also other valuable resources like water and electricity.

Our future will be wonderful. People will have robots in their homes. Kids won’t go to school. They’ll study at home on computers. People won’t use money, everything will be free. There will be more free time. There will be less pollution. There will be more tress. In ten years, we will live in sea. I think there will be more tall buildings. There will be fewer cars and more buses. Maybe one day people will fly to the moon for vacations. My life will be a lot better than this now.

There are two important kinds of music in the world --one is written down and the other is not. Many people earn their living by writing music. They write songs for popstars and music for films and TV plays. They usually write exact instructions how the music is to be played. Folk music has been passed down from one goneration to another. At first it was never written down. Pe ple learnt the songs from their families, relatives, neighbours and friends in the same village. These songs were about country life, the seasons, animals and plants, and about love and sadness in people's lives. Early performers of music were popular and used to learn hundreds of songs by heart. On festivals they used to act and sing in praise of heroes who lived long ago. This was at a time when there was no radio, TV or cinema. Many of the country people could neither read nor write. In this way stories were passed on from one person to another. This continues in some countries even today. In some parts of the world nowadays, you often see musicians performing in the streets to passers-by. They put a cap on the ground in front of them, so that people who like the music can drop coins into it.

It was fine for traveling last Sunday . I showed Ann round the museum . she was surprised to see many old things , and she was interested in the King’s hat . She wanted to buy one. I told her it wasn ’t real . Ann kept asking me some other she saw a thing with three legs and a strange top , she stopped to point at in and asked me , “ What is that ? ” “ It is a cup . ” I told her .

We had a good time in the museum .

Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!"
